6th Plowman Chamber Music Competition - FINALS CONCERT

6th Plowman Chamber Music Competition is proudly co-presented by Odyssey Chamber Music Series, University of Missouri School of Music, First Baptist Church in Columbia and Missouri Symphony Society.

This exciting two-day event features ensembles chosen from audition recordings submitted from all over the nation, hoping for the coveted title of the 2013 Plowman Chamber Music Competition Grand Prize Winner and its $5000 Award. In addition, there are two First Place awards of $2000 amd Honorable Mentions of $500, each given to deserving ensembles from the two categories, Piano & Strings and Winds-Brass-Percussion. The audience is invited to weigh in on the Hugo Vianello Audience Prize. 

The competition begins with Preliminary CD round (February deadline TBA), Semi-Finals for approx. 15 ensembles at First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 6 and Finals Concert for 5 ensembles at the historic Missouri Theatre on Sunday, April 7, 2013.
