The Aeolian Chamber Players, at the vanguard of music for 50 years, celebrate their anniversary with performances of significant works that they originally commissioned and that have since become contemporary classics, including Berio's O King and George Crumb's Eleven Echoes of Autumn. Also on the program, works by William Bolcom (Whisper Moon), Ralph Shapey (Discourse), and the world premiere of Two Shades by the dynamic Huang Ruo, who draws equal inspiration from Chinese folk, Western avant garde, rock and more.

Huang Ruo is "one of the most intriguing of the new crop of Asian-American composers." -The New Yorker

"It is always a great pleasure when one's music is approached with such obvious devotion and insight. This makes the writing of it all seem worthwhile." -George Crumb

-In the Salon is supported by a generous gift from Dr. Coco Lazaroff-
