Description

Kodaly's research of Hungarian folk music left an indelible mark on his compositions, and his lovely Serenade is no exception. The program opens with Beethoven's dramatic and intense C minor Trio, and closes with Dvorak's cinematic "American" Quintet, full of wonderful melodies, open and awake to possibilities much like the country in which he found himself.
