Join us for a celebration of song, lyricism and virtuosity. The lush Romantic world of Brahms lieder is contrasted by the elegant craft of Walter Piston’s Flute Quintet, composed in Belmont, MA in 1942. The concert concludes with one of the crowning jewels of chamber music – Mozart’s String Quintet in C major.
Brahms Two Songs Op. 91 for soprano, viola and piano
Piston Quintet for flute and string quartet
Mozart Quintet in C, K. 515
