Description
Born only a year apart, colleagues and friends Robert Schumann and Felix Mendelssohn were the brightest compositional stars of their day. Here Schumann’s treasured Piano Quartet and lovely, late Märchenbilder for viola and piano are paired with Mendelssohn’s Piano Quartet in B minor, the work that veritably launched the 16-year-old composer’s career.
