Todd Marcus Jazz Orchestra featuring Bennie Maupin.  Memorial Day Jazz Picnic Two generations of amazing jazz make for a Memorial Day concert to remember.  Acclaimed elder statesman and reed player Bennie Maupin performs with composer and bass clarinetist Todd Marcus, a rising national star based in Baltimore.  Maupin's performances with the likes of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Freddy Hubbard, Lee Morgan and Horace Silver have made him a seminal figure in jazz since the 1960's.  He joins in on recent compositions by Marcus and his 9 piece Orchestra, fusing straight ahead jazz with Middle Eastern tonality.  Come early and enjoy a special picnic dinner courtesyof Clementine!  Supported by Chamber Music America, the Doris Duke Foundation, The Maryland State Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and Contemporary Arts Inc.   Picnic dinner & cocktails 6pm (sold sep), show 7:30pm. $222, $17 mbrs, snrs. & stus.
