Description

Regarded as one of the supreme chamber ensembles of the world, the Tokyo String Quartet has collaborated with a remarkable array of musicians and composers, and built a comprehensive catalogue of critically-acclaimed recordings. Performing over 100 concerts worldwide each season on their Stradivari instruments, the Quartet has a devoted international following and is celebrated for their outstanding musical insight, unanimity, and polish. With the upcoming retirement of violinist Kikuei Ikeda and violist Kazuhide Isomura, the group will honor its illustrious career by bringing the Quartet to a graceful close at the end of the 2012-13 season. Don’t miss your chance to bid adieu to a legendary group.
