DEADLINE: Applications are due in CMA's offices, 305 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10001, no later than Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 5:00 PM EDT.
This September, Chamber Music America (CMA) and Early Music America (EMA) will jointly produce an ensemble showcase during the Western Arts Alliance (WAA) conference in Seattle.
Professional ensemble members of CMA, EMA and WAA are eligible to apply.
Performances of Early Music, Western classical, contemporary, world, and jazz genres are welcomed.
Showcasing ensembles will be selected in June from among the applicants by one of two independent panels: Early music applicants will be selected by a panel to be appointed by Early Music America; all other applicants will be selected by a CMA-appointed panel.
Ensembles selected to perform will present 15-minute programs before an audience of concert presenters and the general public, at Downstairs at Town Hall, 1119 Eighth Avenue (near the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, WAA Conference headquarters).
The showcase fee for selected ensembles is $175. Ensembles are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
