CMA supports the creation of new works by professional U.S.-based jazz artists and helps assure that these compositions will be performed and appreciated. A multi-phase program, New Jazz Works also offers activities that develop the band leader’s career-related business skills. Founded in the year 2000, New Jazz Works has since provided support for more than 140 works that reflect the multiple styles of contemporary jazz.
