Celebrated for its artistry, virtuosity, and exquisitely blended sound, the ANCIA Saxophone Quartet performs and promotes the creation of new works, in addition to more traditional repertoire. ANCIA premiered Jennifer Higdon’s Short Stories which is the title track from their most recent CD, released on Naxos. ANCIA is featured regularly on American Public Media’s "Performance Today" and on Wisconsin Public Radio’s "Live From the Chazen." The group performed Philip Glass’ Concerto for Saxophone Quartet with the Wayzata Symphony (MN) in 2012 and Concerto Grosso by William Bolcom with the Bloomington Symphony (MN) in 2011. Based in Minneapolis, MN, ANCIA is an Artist-Clinician Ensemble for the Conn-Selmer and Vandoren companies.

The ANCIA Saxophone Quartet is raising funds towards the commission of a new piece by the highly acclaimed Minnesota composer, Libby Larsen, and for travel expenses to present the world premiere of this piece at the World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg, France in July 2015.
