Apollo Chamber Players is a non-profit chamber music organization that explores the cultural influences and folkloric inspirations in classical music through concerts, educational initiatives and the commissioning of new music. The ensemble made its Carnegie Hall debut in October 2013, and recent touring engagements include concerts in Little Rock, Seattle, Grand Junction, and across Texas. Apollo’s ‘European Folkscapes' album has garnered international recognition, reaching millions of listeners through airplay on stations across the globe, and the group is featured frequently on APM’s nationally syndicated program, ‘Performance Today.' Apollo recently launched a multi-year commissioning project, 20x2020, with a new work by Libby Larsen.
