Corky here. This is a piano blues with a somewhat classical treatment. Unfortunately, most of my works are developmental so no point in a work will describe the work or the genre. I just have to live with that. Fortunately I am having the time of my life riding this wave of musical escasty. I'm so happy.
Angel Food Cake
Corky here: Chamber Blues covers a territory from almost pure classical to the string quartet acting as a blues band. But my mission is to hit the razor's edge when both classical and blues are working together simutaneously while maintaing their own characters. This particular work is a call and response style with vocals.
Opus 17.3 - Complementary Colors
This is one "compositional" approach combining the seemingly apposing forces of blues & classical, while maintaining the character of each. The instrumental, cultural, & performance style "crossover" is obvious, but when the true partnership is in the composition we call this "CrossUnder"
