The Chroma Quartet was formed in 2008 by violinists Christopher Takeda and Jennifer Best Takeda, violist Michael McClelland, and cellist Abraham Feder. Individually, the membes of Chroma Quartet have performed chamber music around the world to great critical acclaim. Their first concert was performed in Bradenton on the series "Music in Unfinished Spaces". Since then, the Chroma Quartet has been performing throughout Florida. The 2013 season marked the inauguration of their series "First Tuesdays at First Church" in Sarasota. The Chroma Quartet is committed to programming works by living composers along with compositions that have found their place among the jewels of the quartet repertoire.
