CutTime® has dramatically expanded its adaptive power with a string ensemble of 4-6 plus optional woodwind solos and percussion featuring Kresge-winning comps by its founder-director Rick Robinson. Formerly a member of a major orchestra, his focus is on surprising both veteran audiences and folk curious about classical with lively favorites, his tasty new mashups and deep insights. Like their older sibling CutTime Players®, CutTime Simfonica® mixes a broad variety of popular symphonic, piano, chamber, pops, jazz and spirituals. Players features more holiday and special programs, while Simfonica gets REAL with funky urban grooves making a smooth on-ramp for new listeners. They often perform in clubs and schools and even with breakdancers!
