Diane Moser is a recipient of Chamber Music America’s 2003-2004 “New Works: Creation and Presentation". Her composition “Music for The Last Flower”, a 50 minute suite was inspired by the James Thurber book "The Last Flower" (written in 1939 as a protest to the invasion of Poland) an anti-war story and a plea for peace. The work is in 6 movements (the last three movements segue together) and spans from free improvisation-to structured improvisation in many musical styles (Contemporary/Jazz/Latin). The group performs in the NY/NJ area and includes: Diane Moser-piano, Mark Dresser-bass, Gerry Hemingway-drums, Marty Ehrlich-alto sax/clarinet, and Ben Williams-trombone.
