Known for its impassioned, insightful playing the Fischer Duo has, for 40 years, been performing for audiences throughout the U.S. and has served as Artistic Ambassadors (USIA) with tours of South Africa and South America.The duo has commissioned new scores from composers such as George Rochberg, Robert Sirota, Pierre Jalbert, Augusta Read Thomas, Samuel Jones and many more. With 5 CDs available on Bridge (complete Chopin/Liszt), Naxos (complete Bolcom) and Gasparo,the duo is currently recording the Beethoven Sonatas.

We are happy to announce that our major recording project of the complete Beethoven Sonatas and Variations will be available in 2013 on the Centaur label. This is truly a complete set with everything that Beethoven wrote for the two instruments and also some arrangements. Judith Sherman is the producer.
