The Flynn Center is known nationally as a multidisciplinary presenter whose primary interests include chamber forms of jazz, world and new music, as well as dance and theater. The Flynn Center's special focus is jazz, both during its MainStage season and the weeklong Discover Jazz Festival each June. The Flynn was a founding site of the Lila Wallace Reader's Digest National Jazz Network (1991-1998) and participated in the four-year Lila Wallace Reader's Digest Audiences for the Performing Arts Network. In addition, the Flynn seeks to present a number of new music chamber events each year.
