Grammy Award-nominated Imani Winds are pioneers in pushing classical music boundaries. The ensemble's mission, which reflects its Swahili name, "Faith," is to challenge the conventional notion of a woodwind quintet by merging musical traditions, and performing new music that reflects a variety of influences. The ensemble's commitment to education is seen through a variety of community outreach projects and their annual summer Chamber Music Institute. Winners: ASCAP Concert Award and CMA/WQXR recording award.
