The Mace Hibbard Quintet was founded in 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia. Featuring Atlanta's top musicians, the quintet has entertained audiences throughout the southeast at venues that range from jazz festivals to nightclubs. While the group plays music penned by all of the members of the band, most of the working repertoire comes from the writing of Mace Hibbard. The quintet features a frontline of saxophone and trumpet backed by piano, bass and drums. In addition to its commitment to performing, the Mace Hibbard Quintet is also dedicated to jazz education, and has performed clinics and concerts at various universities in the Southeast. In 2007, Mace Hibbard released "When Last We Met," and followed that with "Time Gone By," in 2011.
