Metropolitan Klezmer and "sister sextet" Isle of Klezbos have toured from Vienna to Vancouver, with 7 acclaimed albums featured from HBO to London's Covent Garden. Both versatile, virtuosic World Music groups bring luminous, lively neo-traditional approaches to panoramic Eastern European Jewish repertoire, vibrant Yiddish swing & tango, Soviet-era Yiddish gems, and genre-expanding originals. Featuring an array of multi-instrumentals and stellar vocals, grounded in genres from baroque to bebop to Latin jazz, plus Albanian to Zydeco; alumni of Juilliard, Eastman, Berklee & Manhattan Schools of Music, & Harvard. Special multi-media concert projects: Music from Yiddish Cinema /Lincoln Center; Yiddish Celluloid Closet /Center for Jewish History.

We've mixed down wonderful concert tracks from April's Metropolitan Klezmer set at Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts. Thanks to recording engineer David Merrill, our next CD is on the way!
