The JMPP brings new, nearly new, forbidden, and forgotten music to light, with a dual focus music by women composers or with texts by Jewish women poets; music by composers "banned/ forbidden" during the Holocaust. Instrumentation is any combination of soprano, piano, and cello. 2014 premieres: Song is a Monument, by David Garner; Kay Ryan Songs by Laura Schwendinger, Winter Solstice Songs by Elena Ruehr. International Debut: Berlin 2012; Hungary tour, 2014 (Daniel Pearl World Music Days) 2014/15 repertory includes: Gabriela Lena Frank, David Garner, Erich Korngold, Elena Ruehr, Laura Schwendinger, Sandor Vandor, Gyorgy Justus, Hindemith, Dallapiccola, Lajos Delej, Judith Shatin, Heather Schmidt, Ruth Lomon.
