PUBLIQuartet is an engaging ensemble whose creative programming expands the role of the traditional string quartet. PQ was named the 2013 Concert Artists Guild New Music/New Places Ensemble and were awarded their Adventurous Artist prize. They were also awarded the CMA/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming for their original programs, MIND|THE|GAP, which bridges diverse musical genres through group composition and PUBLIQ Access, an emerging composers program. PQ has performed in diverse venues from Lincoln Center and SubCulture to Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola and Carnegie Hall. They have been presented by Tri-I Noon Recitals, Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival, American Composers Orchestra, and Music of Now at Symphony Space.

We are ecstatic to announce that we have been awarded a $5,000 grant by the Aaron Copland Fund for Music to go towards the production of our debut album! The album will be released on CAG Records. Keep your eye out for the August release date!

We are now accepting applications for PUBLIQ Access! PQA is a genre-independent program designed to highlight the voices of today's emerging composers at the beginning of their careers. Each cycle culminates in a high profile concert and panel discussion with distinguished artists.

PUBLIQ Access is a program designed to highlight today's emerging composers. PQ will host the event in the Spring at the Dimenna Center in NYC and a panel discussion with notable new music performers and composers. This year: Laura Kaminsky, Mark Steinberg, David Bowlin, and Nadia Sirota!
