Austrian-Chinese concert pianist Rueibin began his study at the Vienna Conservatory at 13. He won 18 medals, 5 of them gold won before 20, in int’l competitions, incl. the Rubinstein, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. He also received soloist's exam award from Germany’s Hannover Hochschule and continued his study under the legendary Russian pianist Lazar Berman as the maestro’s only Asian disciple. He has performed at all major concert halls, incl. Vienna’s Musikverien & Konzerhaus, Leipzig’s Gewandhaus, Moscow’s Bolshoi Hall, Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, Tel Aviv’s F. Mann Auditorium, Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, Beijing Music Hall, Sydney’s Opera House, NY’s Carnegie Hall & Lincoln Center, DC’s Kennedy Center, LA’s Disney Hall, SF’s Davies Hall.



On July 5, 2014 Rueibin Chen will perform the iconic "Yellow River Piano Concerto" at Hollywood Bowl.


Rueibin Chen's "An Evening of Rachmaninoff" concert at the inaugural season of the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts was sold out four months in advance, so a second concert is added. He is the first pianist to perform solo at the Wallis, on two consecutive nights of March 27 & 28, 2014.
