The Ensemble was selected for the Playback Program by the Seattle Public Library to stream local music. They were also nominated for NW Acoustic Jazz Ensemble of the Year by Earshot Jazz. Arts in the Parks will fund 6 free concerts in Pratt Park. Jack Straw Studios awarded a residency to record Sound in Stone.

The City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture has awarded the Steve Griggs Ensemble a CityArtist grant to create a new program of stories and music inspired by the August 30, 2010 killing of native carver John T. Williams by Seattle police officer Ian Birk. The program will premiere on the 2017 anniversary of the death.

4Culture will join the National Park Service and City of Seattle in funding the Panama Hotel Jazz Performance Extension. This program brings Panama Hotel Jazz to the Panama Hotel Tea Room every 2nd Saturday of the month until August 2016.

The Steve Griggs Ensemble will create Listen to Seattle, a program of narration and music inspired by the life and words of Chief Seattle, with support from a 4Culture Historic Site Specific Grant. The program will premiere at the Duwamish Long House in 2015 followed by free performances at historically significant sites.

The Steve Griggs Ensemble performed Panama Hotel Jazz to a sold-out crowd at Vashon Allied Arts on November 22. The performance was supported by a King County Community Engagement Grant.

The Steve Griggs Ensemble will move forward with Sound in Stone, a program of narration and music inspired by sculptor James Winston Washington, with support from a CityArtist Project Grant awarded by the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture.

The Steve Griggs Ensemble will perform Panama Hotel Jazz monthly at the Panama Hotel Tea Room for the next two years. These performances are supported by the National Park Service Japanese Confinement Sites Program and the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture smART ventures program.
