The Walker is a unique, internationally recognized, multidisciplinary arts organization that has developed and sustained a program that champions a vast array of artistic media, including the visual arts, new media, performing arts, film/video, and education. Housing one of the largest museum-based performing arts programs in the country, Walker presents hundreds of international, national, and local contemporary artists each year, introducing new artists to the community, while maintaining a commitment to contemporary masters. Walker also supports the creation of new work through commissions and on-site developmental residencies.
