Amara Piano Quartet

Amara Quartet premières new piano quartet by Texas composer Peter Fischer on February 3, 2016 on a concert at Texas Tech University in Lubbock to audience acclaim.  They will encore the concert (which also features Brahms' G minor piano quartet) in Iowa on February 6, 2016.

In 2016, the Fleur de Son label will release the Amara's new CD featuring the world première recording of George Tsontakis' Piano Quartet #3, along with Carolina Reveille by Paul Schoenfield, Dark Rosaleen by Lee Hoiby, and Walter Piston's Piano Quartet.


The LPCA is proud to be a recipient of a 2016 Chamber Music America Presenter Consortium for Jazz Grant.  The program is graciously funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.  This grant ensures the LPCA’s ability to bring world-class entertainment to Lake Placid and surrounding communities.

The Brittany Anjou Trio debut album comes out June 2016! Brittany Anjou is a NYC experimental composer, jazz pianist, vibraphonist, performer, arranger, & songwriter.  She leads the Brittany Anjou Trio, BEWAA: Ghanaian Xylophone, BI TYRANT, & the L.A.R.C.E.N.Y. Chamber Orchestra.

CMA members the Friction Quartet and composer Andy Akiro were the first guests to spend several days at the Blue Mountain Retreat--a residence for chamber musicians in California's gold country.   Go to www.bluemountainchambermusicretreat,org for complete details.
