On April 29, Axiom Brass was named the winning ensemble in the Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition—the first brass quintet to take the top prize in the prestigious competition’s 27-year history.

The Chicago Chamber Musicians has announced the appointment of Kathleen Butera as its new executive director, effective August 1.  She succeeds Amy Iwano, who has become the executive director of University of Chicago Presents.

Marlene Rosenberg has recently recorded her upcoming CD with Kenny Barron, Lewis Nash, and a few songs with the great Christian McBride.Soon to be released. The ensemble is looking for upcoming dates for performances and educational clinics.

The John Yao Quintet had a very sucessful CD Release show last week at Cornelia Street Cafe.  We have several gigs in the coming months as well as forthcoming reviews of our release "In the Now" on Innova Recordings.
