Society for Chamber Music in Rochester (SCMR), N.Y., announces Juliana Athayde and Erik Behr as new co-artistic directors. Read the Democrat and Chronicle article on the husband and wife team of Athayde (concertmaster) and Behr (principal oboist), both with the RPO.
Gramercy premiered Schuller Trio #3. The Boston Globe review begins: “A quick stab of a chord, then a dark, slowly spreading pool of dissonance.... Schuller has written a piece that feels retro and youthful at the same time, working venerable veins of modernism with often bristling energy."

On February 2nd, 2012 will be the premier of the newly created Bohemian Trio which will perform at Symphony Space as part of The Music of Now Marathon. Curated and directed by Tania Leon. The trio is comprise by; Orlando Alonso on piano, Rubin Kodhelic on cello and Yosvany Terry on saxes and chekere. The concert is at 7:30 pm.
