New Yor-Uba performed "Oru de Oro", a 2015/16 CMA New Jazz Work, at Yale Univesrity on Feb 16th. Upcoming performances-March 17/18/19--Birhtday Celeberation at Dizzy's Lincoln Center--to include further performances of "Oru de Oro". Its 'life continues', thanks to CMA and the Doris Duke Foundation


Inspira Ensemble, the resident musical company of Theatre for Transformation (TFT), is gearing up for TFT's 2018 debut of We the People...14. The multi-disciplinary art production will feature music by the ensemble and chorale groups, in addition to spoken word performances and dancing. 


Rockport Music announces its 36th Annual Rockport Chamber Music Festival opening with world renowned violinist Joshua Bell on Friday, June 2.  The Festival contiues through July 9 and is the farewell season of Artistic Director David Deveau as artistic director.


The Ensemble was selected for the Playback Program by the Seattle Public Library to stream local music. They were also nominated for NW Acoustic Jazz Ensemble of the Year by Earshot Jazz. Arts in the Parks will fund 6 free concerts in Pratt Park. Jack Straw Studios awarded a residency to record Sound in Stone.


Tom Chiu's RETROCON, a CMA commission, receives its European premiere on BBC Radio 3. Broadcast of FLUX Qt program will be Sat, February 25 @ 5pm EST.  Link and more info:

We are so elated to have received a CMA grant to commission Aaron Siegel for his new work for 6 percussionists and clarinet called A Great Many. We began rehearsing the piece at the end of January and we added the clarinet to our rehearsals last week! We can't wait to premiere this in Bellingham, Wash in April!

Elektra got a grant from LMCC 2017 for concert series Rituals for Peace. Three concerts in Manhattan, including a presentation of peace rituals involving audience and Ensemble Elektra members. First concert was in the Kosciuszko Foundation on January 6, 2017
