On April 29, Axiom Brass was named the winning ensemble in the Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition—the first brass quintet to take the top prize in the prestigious competition’s 27-year history.
The Chicago Chamber Musicians has announced the appointment of Kathleen Butera as its new executive director, effective August 1. She succeeds Amy Iwano, who has become the executive director of University of Chicago Presents.
