Art of Élan is honored to receive a CMA Classical Commissioning Grant for its upcoming collaboration with the Formosa Quartet and esteemed composer Lei Liang. The commissioned string quartet takes its inspiration from the vocal music of aboriginal tribes of Taiwan and will be premiered at The San Diego Museum of Art in March of 2016.

So Percussion is excited to have received a 2015 CMA Classical Commissioning grant to commission Paul Lansky! The piece will be written for mostly unpitched percussion, having been inspired by Paul's electronic masterpiece "Table's Clear", which featured sounds he recorded at his kitchen table with his children.
We are honored and excited to be recipents of CMA's 2015 Classical Commissiong Grant! Composer Alex Mincek will be writing a substansial new piece for our piano percussion quartet instrumentation to be premiered as part of Miller Theatre's "Composer Portraits" Series on February 25th, 2016.
