We have fantastic news! The results from the 2013 Concert Artists Guild Competition are in! CAG has invited us to join their roster as the New Music/New Places Ensemble and we were awarded with the Sylvia Ann Hewlett Adventurous Artist Prize! We are so thrilled to join the CAG family!
NSM’s most recent listing is “Cavatine”, Op.37, by the renowned 19th century guitarist and composer Napoléon Coste. Newly transcribed for alto flute and piano, this piece is melodic but lively, and it works really well on alto.

It was gratifyling to recieve a standing ovation from the full house that turned out for our performance August 24! Among the many pieces performed were Cantaloupe Island by Herbie Hancock , Now He Sings Now He Sobs by Chick Corea, Peace by Horace Silver, and Alice in Wonderland made famous by Bill Evans.
