Atlanta Chamber Players

Congratulations to retiring Artistic Director and pianist Paula Peace, who has just finished her 38-year tenure with the Atlanta Chamber Players.

In addition to GetClassical's music salon events at different hotspots throughout the city, including Rose Bar and India House, GetClassical is excited to announce that we are curating a monthly classical music series at Zinc Bar, which we hope will continue to further classical music's presence, within today's nightlife scene.

We're very excited to announce that we won 2nd prize in the Chamber Music division of the 2014 Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld International String Competition! The competition took place from August 18-25 in Harbin, China. For more information, please see the following press release:

Peter Schickele received the Classical Recording Foundation's 2013 Composer of the Year Award at its 12th Annual Awards Gala on 11/25/13 at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall. Performed in his honor and with him in his four-hand "Little Suite for Summer."



Photographer Barry Rosenthal featured in 6/20/14 NYT's "Garbage In, Art Out." In 2008, Barry, I, and composer Leo Kraft premiered "Found in Nature: Music Visualizing a Photographer’s Compositions" at my American Images from the Piano: Neo-Classic to Nature. 

Noteworthy Sheet Music

Noteworthy Sheet Music welcomes Zenon Slawinski as the newest contributor to our catalog.  We’ve just published his appealing original composition for flute and piano entitled “Bagette no. 4”.


On Augus 21 at 9PM - Gene Ess will perform with the NY Triptych Trio.  The venue is Tolani on the upper west side.  410 Amsterdam Avenue, NYC.  The trio is Gene Ess on guitar, Grant Jarrett on drums, and Will Slater on bass.  Come and enjoy some live jazz music along with great food and wine.
