In between scoring 5 documentary films for William Shatner, I've recently finishd mixing the new Dapp Theory CD which will be released in 2014. I am also completing an orchestral composition which is being performed by American Composers Orchestra on June 5th at Columbia University as part of the JCOI Readings.
I am currently in the studio recording my 2nd solo piano CD. Like the first, it will consist of romantic classical music (with several pieces by my favorite composer, Chopin) and a few original compositions. Virtuoso violinist Mark Cargill joins me and cover artwork will once again be created by very talented artist Valerie Hennessy.
Duo Sonidos will perform a live one-hour concert at WGBH/Boston’s Fraser Studio on April 30, 2013, at 4 pm EST, which will be simultaneously be broadcast live on WFMT/Chicago at 3 pm CST, the first event of its kind between the two stations!
In early April the SWQ will be recording a new work commissioned for us by the City and County of Honolulu. The title of the work is Paka'a Lanakila!, and the composer is Jon Magnussen. The work includes narration (by Jon), and tells the story of a young Hawaiian boy named Paka'a who learns about the power of the wind.
