CT Alliance for Music

CAM, host of the prestigious Heida Hermanns International Music Competition, announces the appointment of new executives to its Board of Directors. With the passing of President Suzanne Kanner, Barry Persky has stepped into that role. Other new officers include Steve Sharp as Vice President and Kristin Foster, Secretary/Treasurer.


The Augustine Foundation awarded Red Cedar Chamber Music a $15,000 grant for programming Red Cedar's Music and Magic project and to partially fund the commission of new music for flute, violin, guitar and cello by composers Michael Kimber, Stephen Cohn and Philip Wharton.  The project premieres in April, 2016.
