Vivre Musicale Inc

Entitled War & Peace: A Season of Reflection, Understanding, and Acceptance, this season will exam the psychological toll and reasons behind these paired paradigms through three thoughtfully crafted concerts, DISTURBIA, HUMANITY, and SEXUALITY. 

Vivre Musicale Inc

Vivre Musicale has been awarded the Arts Council Comission Grant for the commissioning of Irish composer, David Coonan, who will spend this season composing Songs of War & Peace for its premiere, Summer 2013. This work will serve as the capstone to VM's 4th season.

Yellow Barn

David Wells, cellist and founder of Yellow Barn, died peacefully in his Putney home on Tuesday, August 7th. This Sunday, August 12th at 3pm, David will be honored through music and remembrances at the original Yellow Barn, 91 Old Route 5 in Putney.

MCG Jazz follows up our remarkably varied and successful 25th season with a veritable feast for your ears. Welcome to The Jazz Buffet. This season has something for everyone’s taste and is sure to please the palate.

Fischer Duo

We are happy to announce that our major recording project of the complete Beethoven Sonatas and Variations will be available in 2013 on the Centaur label. This is truly a complete set with everything that Beethoven wrote for the two instruments and also some arrangements. Judith Sherman is the producer.

Seattle Chamber Music Society

On July 25, 2012 Seattle Chamber Music Society (SCMS) presented a free live outdoor concert in Seattle's Volunteer Park. Over 1,800 people attended. Initial survey results indicate that 40% of the population had never attended an SCMS event before. Works by Dvorak and Tchaikovsky were performed.
