Noteworthy Sheet Music

Brahms himself created arrangements of his “Sonata” Op.120 No.1, originally for clarinet, for both viola and violin. Now John Pratt has created a sensitive transcription of this alluring work for alto flute—music available from NSM.

Third Coast Percussion

On August 18 we perform a concert including 2 works co-commissioned by Chamber Music America's Classical Commissioning Program: Augusta Read Thomas "Resounding Earth" mvt 2, and Glenn Kotche "Wild Sound" mvt 4. The concert will be broadcast live at

Ben Kono Group

The Ben Kono Group recently recorded it's 2013 Chamber Music America New Jazz Works Commission "Don't Blink" with Ben Kono, Pete McCann, Henry Hey, Kermit Driscoll, and Satoshi Takeishi. The band will play the work in it's entirety August 13th 7:30pm at the Hopper House Music in the Garden Series in Nyack, NY.

Jentsch Group

Excited that my Jentsch Group No Net is among the latest grantees of the CMA New Jazz Works Program...thanks to the CMA staff and The Doris Duke Foundation!


We have been awarded a commissioning grant through CMA's Classical Commissioning program!  Corey Dundee, our tenor saxophonist and a wonderful composer, will be composing a new work for saxophone quartet and we will premiere the piece in 2017!
