Free Planet Radio was awarded a grant from the 2014 CMA Classical Commissioning program.  The grant commissions a piece and funds three performances for the trio (oud, double bass and percussion), plus guest artists the Opal String Quartet.

On May 3rd, Jonathan gave a recital with pianist Marjorie Hornik at the Manhattan 7th Day Adventist Church in the West Village. On the program were two unusual items, Beethoven's "Spring" Sonata, composed for violin and Jonathan's transcription of Sergei Prokofiev's Five Songs Without Words, opus 35, composed for voice.

On May 19, Jonathan participated in a performance of Bach's Fifth Brandenburg Concerto at Scandinavia House on Park Avenue in NYC. Jonathan has performed all of Bach's Flute Sonatas and many of his sacred and secular arias with voice as well as the 4th Brandenurg Concert. Playing the 5th was a great privilege and pleasure!

Jonathan's YouTube channel recently passed 500,000 hits, registered within less than five years since he created the channel in November 2010. The channel presents 150+ recordings, the majority of which are of live concerts. Please visit!
