Why Do You Ride? shows off Katz’s ability to juggle off-kilter modernism with electrifying dynamic shifts and a tumult of jazz-history reference points in his vivid, smash-cut big band arrangements, combined with a fascination with what Albert Einstein had to say about learning, knowledge, love and war.
Latinoamérica is KAIA's debut album. A mix of contemporary classical and folk-influenced music from Latin America for string quartet featuring works composed and arranged by Julain Orbón, Elbio Barilari, Gustavo Leone, Rubén González, Cliff Colnot and Andrés Martinez de Velasco.
The quartet teams up with the Sono Luminus label and didjeridu visionary Stephen Kent on this collection of works by Peter Sculthorpe. Sensual and contemplative, spiky and wild, the works channel the spirit of the vast Australian landscape and the myriad stories it has witnessed. The result is a unique and exciting aural experience.
