ETHEL presents a power-packed, sonic snapshot of the group’s life in New York City in its latest album Heavy.  Heavy features works by eight celebrated contemporary composers: Don Byron, John Halle, Julia Wolfe, John King, Raz Mesinai, David Lang, Kenji Bunch, and Marcelo Zarvos. 

A fifteen movement suite based on the series of paintings by the abstract expressionist artist Barnett Newman entitled "The Stations of the Cross".  The Barnett Newman Foundation has granted their permission for the use of the images of the paintings as part of this project.

Compositions for improvising chamber ensembles with electronics. Cell Structure and Tarpit feature sfSound Group; the title piece features Wrack and Rova Saxophone Quartet with Tim Perkis and Gino Robair. Orgone Accelerator is a stereo realization of a work for 8-channel sound diffusion.
