To bring national recognition to an individual, ensemble, or organization for achievements in chamber music that have had a significant cultural impact on a local or regional community.
- You must be a CMA member to make a recommendation, but CMA membership is not required of the nominee. Any member of the chamber music community is eligible.
- Self-nominations are not accepted.
- Recipient may be involved with any style or type of chamber music as defined by CMA ("one to a part, generally without a conductor").
- Recipient has made a significant contribution to the field of chamber music at the local/regional level. The award recognizes service to a broad range of audiences and communities of any age group, gender, or race, in rural, suburban, or urban settings.
Nominations are solicited throughout the year; but nominations for 2009 must be received no later than September 30, 2008. Nominations must be in written form, explaining to the selection committee why the person/organization deserves the award based on the eligibility criteria.
