Residency Commissioning Jazz
Awards Professional Development
Ensemble and presenter members of CMA may apply to this program which supports live ensemble music in rural, urban, and suburban communities nationwide. Dynamic collaborations and non-traditional partnerships among ensembles, presenters, and community-based organizations are encouraged.
Residency projects may include workshops, ensemble coaching sessions, lecture/demonstrations, and/or concerts that are not part of a regular series. The length of the collaborative project ranges from a minimum of three days to one year. Support ranges from 50% to 80% of proposed costs. These may include cash from other grants, earned income, in-kind donations, or an allocation from the organization's general operating funds.
Short-term projects

To honor the Guarneri String Quartet, the Sewell Family Foundation has created an annual residency grant for a string quartet. One recipient will be selected each year from the string quartet applicants to CMA's Residency Partnership Program.

Grant Recipients
Proposal Deadline: February 11, 2011
CMA will hold a series of grant application workshops. Participants may attend in person or by teleconference.
Seating and phone lines are limited. To participate, you must register no later than three days before any workshop. Contact Marc Giosi, program associate, (212) 242-2022, ext. 14, or mgiosi@chamber-music.org.
CMA will send the teleconference number to those who intend to participate by phone.
