Since its founding in 1977, CMA has awarded nearly one thousand grants to ensembles, composers, and chamber music organizations, infusing $7 million into the chamber music field. CMA's signature Residency Program has distributed more than $4 million to ensembles and community presenters, supporting over 500 residencies nationwide.
CMA also fosters musical creativity. More than 170 works-written for a wide range of contemporary music and jazz ensembles-are CMA commissions.
