The concert series the Los Angeles Times called “the best chamber music reason to get out of the house” has an opening for a Production Manager. The anticipated start date is July, 2014.

This full-time position has responsibility for all logistics pertaining to Camerata Pacifica’s core performance projects, including the regular concert series, galas, education residency in downtown Los Angeles, house concerts and other events. Due to the concert schedule, the Production Manager will need to work some nights and weekends throughout the season. The position shares oversight of the Production Associate and reports to the Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate is self-directed, knowledgeable about music and concert production, quick to learn, and meticulous about detail. The organization moves at a quick pace and this position can be physically demanding. At the same time, Camerata Pacifica is an exciting place to work, with exceptional musicians and four wonderful concert communities. This position is ideal for anyone interested in the field of arts administration and management.

The Production Manager will have the opportunity, and be encouraged, to explore skills beyond those required for concert production, in particular development of Camerata Pacifica’s digital and social media presence.


The Production Manager should have a good driving record and feel extremely comfortable driving a loaded cargo van for long distances alone and at night. S/he should also be comfortable lifting at least 35lbs regularly. S/he needs to be experienced and proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel, and generally have strong computer skills.

This position is full-time (Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm) and based in Santa Barbara, CA.
