Established in 1992 to advance, research, and document arts and humanities scholarship, artistic production and cultural traditions of Latinos in the United States, the Caribbean, and the Americas, the Rutgers University Center for Latino Arts and Culture presents a yearly series of outstanding artistic performances and workshops, films and exhibitions, and lectures and symposia designed to engage the university community and broader public in a process of exploration of what it means to be Latino in the United States and throughout the world.
