COVID-19 Resources for the Chamber Music Community

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the Coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic. Since then, dramatic measures have been taken, which involve widespread performance cancellations, venue and office closings, and strict social distancing guidelines.

Following is a list of information resources to help our community of artists, presenters, managers, educators, and others keep up-to-date regarding health and safety concerns as well as ongoing relief and recovery opportunities.

Check back regularly as we learn of and post additional resources.

CMA Actions

Recognizing the pandemic's continued effects on our field, CMA has extended its Pay-What-You-Can membership program. We encourage all members who are able to pay their full membership rates to continue to do so. This offer is available to both new and current members.

CMA has also published the results of its third survey (completed June 2021) on the impact of COVID-19 on the chamber music field. The results provide an updated snapshot of the field and includes comparisons with selected data from the first survey in March 2020 and the second survey in June 2020.

Survey results have been published in partnership with the Wallace Foundation’s "Building Audiences for the Arts" initiative.
